Today has been a really cool day, the first of many Kindle eBooks of my short fiction was published at Amazon.com. Because of the multi-media capabilities of The Kindle Fire, I will be experimenting with new ways to present my fiction and non-fiction to the masses!

I am finishing up a screenplay project that has probably been the hardest project I have ever written because it requires I write it politically correct.
How I ever found myself so interested in an incident that was one of the saddest days in racial relationship history is a mystery to me. But I did.

It's amazing how many dreams we have during our lifetime, and as a writer, I have found that sometimes they make for great story ideas.
When I was about twelve, I became interested in dreams and dream interpretation. I had several so-called dream dictionaries, and kept a dream diary on my bed table for a number of months. I recall reading those notes and realizing that my brain was actually composing complete stories during my sleeping hours.

The past week I have been re-writing and putting the polishing touches on a Historical Drama screenplay a producer has asked to read. I have been working on this particular script since early 2007 and it has really been a challenge. Because it documents an incident considered "One of the saddest days in American race relations," It has been my intention from the start to write it from both sides as fairly as possible.

It's funny how a person can be focused and know exactly which direction they are going, then, suddenly find themself heading off in several other directions down the road. I did just that the past few years, and now, I am beginning again to re-focus on my writing. You see, I wanted to write all my life, and I have quite a few projects and ideas that because of life and having to keep care of my family, sorta just got swept under the

Here it is, almost the end of the first month of 2010, and I have begun my strategy for this year's writing projects. I plan to finish one novel and one screenplay as the major projects. And when I am not working on those, I will write for my news magazine or perhaps some new short fiction. Both the novel and screenplay are already in rough draft form and so the polishing process should go quite smoothly if I manage my time correctly.
