From Humble Beginnings Comes A Wild Imagination...

Bob Gunner was born in Houston, Texas in 1955. As a writer of fiction/non-fiction and a small press publisher, he has written or edited and contributed to several published projects over the past ten years. He is a new media pro who has spent his whole career working for Houston-area print and online publications. These days he serves as CEO, Editor & Publisher for Fat Cat New Media Group (http://fatcatwebproductions.com) in Spring, Texas, a full service web development and Public Relations company, who also publishes The Paper Magazine (http://thepapermagazine.com) a daily on-line hyper-local community news magazine covering The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe & Noth Houston, Texas.
His previous position was as Media Coordinator/Webmaster for a large Houston-area law firm; The Ammon’s Law Firm, where he was responsible for all PR and web publication needs. He was employed for five years as one of Clear Channel Radio’s two Houston webmasters for eight local stations, and was involved in writing and editing, feature and news content for KTRH, KPRC and 790 KBME, as well as static and interactive content for their music stations: KTBZ (The Buzz), KKRW (The Arrow), KHMX (The Mix), KLOL (first as Rock 101 FM and then as Mega101), and KODA (Sunny 99.1). He also spent several years as the Managing Cluster Editor/Content Manager for Bayou City Media Group, Inc. in The Woodlands, where he was responsible for all editorial and site content for these hyperlocal community news and information portals: WoodlandsOnline.com , ConroeToday.com , SpringToday.com , and TomballToday.com , and helped to develop and launch over 60 new community portal sites during his employment there. During 1980-90, Bob was employed as a journalist & news editor for Houston-area weekly community newspapers, including Houston Community Newspaper's The North Channel Sentinel and The Community News of East Harris County. In the 1970's, Bob also spent 10 years at The Houston Chronicle, where he was employed as Merchandising Coordinator of National Advertising, and helped write a weekly business review column. He currently resides in Spring, Texas with his wife Liz, daughter Molly Rose and a menagerie of spoiled pets including a grumpy old calico cat and a bunny who sits at a desk in his cage all day just trying to come up with new ideas.
