Dreams for Story Ideas

It's amazing how many dreams we have during our lifetime, and as a writer, I have found that sometimes they make for great story ideas.

When I was about twelve, I became interested in dreams and dream interpretation.  I had several so-called dream dictionaries, and kept a dream diary on my bed table for a number of months.  I recall reading those notes and realizing that my brain was actually composing complete stories during my sleeping hours.

Years later I recalled some of these crude story ideas and expanded on them through my short fiction.  And the stories were excellent I believe.  So, if you are suffering from 'writer's block', you may consider following my example and see if something brilliant gets born while you are resting.  Good luck!
