A “Grand” Opening for Veggie Village
The Woodlands, TX (Thursday February 2, 2012)— With more than 500 people in attendance on Sunday, January 29, 2012, Interfaith of The Woodlands, the Veggie Village Committee and community supporters celebrated the official Grand Opening of Veggie Village, located off Hwy 242 at the Alden Bridge Sports Park.

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (February 2, 2012) – On Thursday, February 9, 2012, at 7:30 p.m., The Woodlands Township presents Kelly Conrad Bender, wildlife biologist based in Bastrop with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department(TPWD), in the free program Natural Firewise Landscaping. Natural Firewise Landscaping is a free Walk in the Woods Nature Lecture held in the L.G.I. Lecture Hall at McCullough Jr. High School, 3800 South Panther Creek Drive. Program sponsors include Waste Management, The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N. and Hilton Garden Inn.

New yard trimmings guidelines begin February 1
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (February 1, 2012) – New guidelines for pick-up of yard trimmings in The Woodlands start on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Waste Management, solid waste provider for the community will only pickup yard trimmings—leaves, grass, branches and limbs—in compostable, or biodegradable, bags; open containers; or bundles.
